A superpower revealed: Hands of Stone

I was surprised that no one has talked about the new scene shown before the Good Morning America interview.  It begins with John Clayton surrounded by children looking at his hands as if he did something cool with them.  He then squats down explaining that he grew up walking on all fours and that it changed the bone structure of his hands.  While he's explaining there's a closeup of his hand with fingertips barely touching the ground.  He then goes knuckles down and with the help of some CGI the hand morphs into human/ape hybrid hand.  It looked cool to me like his hands were made of stone.  I spend an inordinate amount of my time daydreaming different ways to incorporate one of Tarzan's superpowers into a movie.  Tarzan's most underused and I think coolest power is his sense of smell.  Tarzan could trail someone just like a bloodhound.  I hope they figure a way to display this amazing power in this upcoming movie.

That sounds cool! Reminds me of Disney's Tarzan -- how he would walk on all fours (essentially "knuckle-walking") in the animated film and TV series, and in the Broadway stage musical I saw a few years ago.

That was an interesting scene, something unexpected, and an attribute I do not remember being mentioned in the novels. Still, it was pretty cool to see!

Yah, I thought this was cool.  I've always liked when artists excentuated Tarzan's hands and forearms.  It's just logical that he would have a superhuman grip.  I'm still not happy no ones come up with a way to incorporate Tarzan's amazing sense of smell in a movie.
