Here's the link to "Sway in the Morning" interview with Alex that Margaret mentioned. This is a pretty good interview.
He describes how they came up with the Tarzan yell - a combination of Alex's voice, an opera singer, and animal noises. Apparently, one of the Sway's colleagues (DB) saw the movie and seemed pretty happy with it("Indiana Jones, but with vines"); based on that good review, Sway said he was waiting to see it in IMAX.
Alex had a chance to discuss the issues re: a white man being the savior of the jungle and did a pretty good job turning it to a major plot point of the movie -- the genocide of the Congolese under King Leopold's rule and Tarzan's efforts to stop it.
I have to say this is one of the best interviews because there were actual questions regarding LoT, the movie. Definitely worth a listen.

Not only did the guy love the movie you could tell he had been a naysayer. One of those...why make another Tarzan movie? You can tell he's surprised by how much he liked this movie. I think my prediction of a 90%+ Tomatoes Meter is looking pretty good ; )

Very true! You definitely get the feeling that he wasn't anticipating much from the movie and was surprised. Sway shared that he wanted to see the movie in IMAX based on DB's feedback. That's the word of mouth we need. I'm feeling more hopeful that despite the skepticism, word of mouth will drive it to a successful showing. 🙂

Someone who works/manages theaters apparently saw the movie and has good things to say about LoT. (thanks to Askarslover for the find)

There's an advance screening tonight in Los Angeles with a Q and A with Margot Robbie afterwards. I just signed up, paid my $15, and I'm going. It's at Harmony Gold theater on Sunset in Hollywood. http://www.australiansinfilm.org/event-2268450
