A few  who saw it tonight...

I saw it tonight and (based on the trailer) was expecting to hate it.

It was very well done. Great action (not too much), great effects (realistic), superb romance (the leads have chemistry that is off the charts) and - as you might expect - Christoph Waltz is perfect as a loathsome villain.

I especially liked how they worked in non-fictional characters (played by Waltz and Sam Jackson) that added rich, unexpected, historical realism.

As a critic I'm too often let down with high-profile stuff and rarely pleasantly surprised, This movie is one of the latter.

3.5 out of 4 stars I thought it was fantastic

Saw a screening tonight, and it kept my attention pleasingly. Very good film.

Thanks to Beerwolf for the find.
