I haven’t read the book but I think this looks really good. It’s Spielberg collaborating with his E.T. screenwriter Melissa Mathieson again (who sadly passed away last year) and so I think it’s going to be something wonderful. From the trailer it looks charming and visually stunning.
I look forward to watching both this and Tarzan on the same day (if I can).
I guess we’ll find out on July 1, but I really don’t think there will be much of an audience overlap between these two films and we shouldn’t worry too much about it.

Incidentally, there are lots of people complaining about the CGI in this film as well.
The first BFG trailer did nothing for me . . . . this one is more interesting ….. which isn’t good for LOT, I guess.
